Summer Fun: Science and Art Camps at Coyote Point Museum

SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA – February 9, 2010 –
Grab a spot in Coyote Point Museum’s exciting science and art camps before they’re all gone! Registration for the Museum’s highly popular summer camps opened last week, and within the first day, 1/3 of the camp spots were full.

Coyote Point Museum camps are in high demand. “Our camps provide exceptional opportunities for children to investigate their world through science and art,” said Rachel Meyer, Executive Director. “We provide high-caliber opportunities for children to explore and learn, and they have a great time. Every year, we see a significant number of returning campers because campers and parents love these camps.”

Camps are available for preschool children through 8th graders. Some of the most popular camp themes include Gadgets & Gizmos, a physics and invention camp for Kindergarten through 4th graders, Junior Keepers, a camp that introduces children to the exciting world of wild animal care, and Digital Photography Camp, an art camp for teens that allows them to explore the natural world through the lens of a camera. In addition, the Museum offers the Leadership Development Program for 7th – 9th graders to build their leadership skills by working directly with campers to help them investigate the world around them.

Coyote Point Museum’s summer camps run from June 14 through August 20, 2010. Camp registration is now open for Museum members and non-members. Registration for Premium members began February 2. For more information and to register, go to http://www.coyoteptmuseum.org/activities/camps.
