Wildlife Show (Grades 3-8) New in Winter 2008!
Have a close encounter with animals native to California and learn how they are uniquely adapted to their environment. Choose one of three topics:
- Animal "Wraps"
- Predator or Prey
- On the "Defense"

Better to Eat You With (Grades 3-5)
Animals depend on their physical and behavioral features to help them obtain food, stay safe, build homes, withstand weather and attract mates. Learn about animal adaptations through hands-on activities and live animal presentations. 3.3abc#, 4.2ab#c#, 4.3b, 5.2c
Birds of Prey (Grades 3-6)
Explore the fascinating world of eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls. Students will investigate the adaptations of these magnificent birds by engaging in hands-on activities and meeting a live raptor. 3.3abc#, 4.2b#, 4.3b, 5.6a
Native Californians (Grades 3-5)
Explore the world of California's indigenous peoples and learn about traditional lifeways. Students will use tools to make fire, play different roles in a Miwok family and meet an animal that California Native Americans would have encountered.

Be A Naturalist! (Grades 3-8)
Available Spring of 2008!
Awaken your senses to the abundance of wildlife under your nose! Learn to "read" nature using the tools and techniques of naturalists. Identify local flora and fauna.
Location: Coyote Point Park (around Museum)

Marsh Muck (Grades 3-8)
Learn about the importance of protecting our wetlands while mucking about in the mud flats of the Coyote Point Marsh. Students in 5th - 8th grade will learn to test water quality to determine the health of the bay.
Note: This field-based program is scheduled based on low tides.

4-Week Programs:
Places & Spaces (Grades 3-5)
Explore many of California's unique habitats, including coastal, forest and desert habitats. Live animal presentations, games, experiments, and writing activities bring these habitats to life. 3.3abd, 3.5d, 4.3a, 4.6f, 5.3a

- Available: Mon.-Fri. 10:00am-3:00pm
* Fees include your program, museum admission for the confirmed number of students, one teacher, and up to 7 adult chaperones. There is a $4.50/person fee for each additional adult chaperone.
