SPRING BREAK AT COYOTE POINT MUSEUM

Spring Break for the whole family! 
Tuesday March 25 -  Friday March 28th
10 am - 3 pm

Join us during Spring Break for a full week of science, eco-activities, nature walks, and outdoor exploration good for the whole family! Help us test some of our new exhibits and visit the Scholastic Book Fair.


The Green Farm
Coyote Point Museum newest exhibit, demonstrates sustainable agricultural practices in a fun and informative way. The exhibit features a chick hatchery, and a prototype hydroponic growing mechanism which grows plants without dirt. Visitors can watch eggs hatch, observe baby chicks waddling about and create masterpieces with recycle objects.

Coyote Point Museum's newest addition to the Green Farm is located at the front of the museum, "The Sun Curve" which harnesses solar energy to pump water from a koi pond to grow a kitchen garden.

A Family Favorite: River Otter Feeding

Daily at 12:30 pm Always a family favorite, our frisky River Otters frolic and play during their daily feeding. Guests can observe our pair of otters in their habitat from BOTH above ground and through the underwater observation window!

A Fox Feed
Channel Island Fox
Daily at 11:30 am (Except Sundays) A family favorite, our fox is the subject of our new interpretive habitat demonstration. Join our Wildlife staff in a question and answer session as you watch him "chow down."

Every Wednesday and Friday at 1 pm Every Saturday at 11 am & 1 pm Every Sunday at 1 pm & 3 pm

"Villains, Bandits and Bad Guys" Not all animals are cute and cuddly! Come join us in our Wildlife Theater for a highly interactive, humorous look at the bad reputations and common misconceptions that have kept people from hugging snakes and kissing cockroaches for centuries. This is a live animal presentation that is sure to give kids a new appreciation for some of nature's less popular critters!
Visitors will experience awesome Wildlife Shows complete with our very own non-releasable animals using their natural behavior to educate and entertain. Suitability: People of all ages who are awed by animals.

Toddler Tuesday: Egg-sploration

Chickens aren't the only ones who lay eggs! Join us for an "egg-stra" special Toddler Tuesday on March 11 where we will look at some "egg-celant" oviparous animals, conduct "egg-speriments" and go on an egg hunt!

Toddler Tuesday is a unique hands-on, environmental education-themed, early childhood program. On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month (except where noted,) Coyote Point Museum hosts this activity from 10am-12 noon for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Toddler crafts, exploration activities, and live animal presentations are part of this program. Each month has a different theme. Check the Museum entrance for the activity locations. Come join in the fun!
